If you’ve been locked into the media’s sensational reporting of late you would’ve probably found yourself a prescribed viewing of terrorist wars, riots and clashes. Maybe you’ve been watching the stock markets battle, if you’re American - hoping your bank’s ATM will churn out your hard earned cash. Maybe it’s the worry of the un-heard of tides that maybe washing your holiday home out to sea or maybe perhaps you’re trying to figure out why you’re paying so much more for so much less in your shopping bag.

Either way, you may have totally overlooked that the 2010 World Cup takes off right here in less than a 16 months. As a football supporter this is really as exciting as Office 14.

So what if you’re an avid supporter - or just want to get into the excitement? Well according to FIFA, the first phase of public ticket sales will commence as from February 2009 and around 3.1 million tickets will available for the 64 matches. So if you’re keen to watch the final game be prepared to fork out about 900 USD (+- R8500) for category 1/top notch tickets! Hectic!

So, if anyone needs help building a similar solution on SharePoint for 2010 Soccer World Cup? I’d be most willing to chip in for a ticket to the finals ;-)
